Shouldnt an injury heal in retirement?

If a player has an injury before retirement. Not talking CEI or that it is taking longer to heal. Should not the injury be healing in retirement.
What i mean is that a player is injured and the game says it will take 5 days to heal. He then retires the same day. Comes back 2 years later and it still takes 5 days for him to heal. I know some injuries are complicated irl but i dont see why a player should not be healthy if he can heal like normal when active.
Its a not a big deal cause i can change it but its just one of those annoying things.

I agree it should go away even if the guy is retired. I'm guessing it was just something that wasn't really tested before because u are the one that forces the guy out of retirement. It would be nice to have the option for guys to come out of retirement.

It just effects my league because i like to retire players as they did in real life except in the case of a CEI. I also dont like having a player who played for 3 years, retired and came back 5 years later to keep playing in my league during those 5 years. The player always seems to be too good. So thats why i made 2 lists. One for retiring players and the other for unretiring players. I use the retiring list after the awards and before expansion. Dont want a player being drafted who is retiring. Then i use the unretiring list on Jan 1st of the next season. So far every player that came back has signed with a team. Only thing is that for a CEI i wont bring that player back.
