How do I edit milestones ?
Question is in the title.
I have a league that I mess around with that only plays a 50 game schedule. There is no way someone is gonna hit the 162 game marks (50 HR, etc). How do I go about editing this to make it useful in my league ? Thanks in advance

Thanks Joe
![]() But I was talking about in the history area, under accomplishments. (50 HR seasons, 150 RBI seasons, 20 win seasons). Sorry for the confusing question .

There is no way of editting the criteria for accomplishments. This has been requested for many versions but has not been implemented yet.. Would be nice to see this in OOTP XI.

OK fine, so you are a play tester. But you obviously don't play test the game as I would. If you were playing the game the way I do then things would be added. Things like the ability to print out a schedule, ability to edit accomplishments, ability to mass select. Important things get left out while utter nonsense things are added. This game is almost untouchable. But it needs some major additions to make it completely untouchable.

I've never been a playtester on OOTP, so I don't claim to speak for them. But keep in mind that the testers can only make recommendations. It's up to the designer to do the actual programming. It's possible that some of the things you value have been mentioned to Markus by the testers but simply haven't been put into the game for whatever reason. Lack of certain features doesn't necessarily imply shoddy play-testing.

Yes your right. I shhould not have implied it was the play testers fault these items are left out. Sorry to all the testers. I know others find some of the things in this game as can't live without while I find them just silly. OOTP has some real competition coming out in the next couple months and if one game in particular is half as good as it claims then I wont be comming back to OOTP. I hope he listens to us and adds features people have been screaming for since 6.5. |

I play other games where the design staff is just as aloof, like Madden, but most other games I play have design teams who ask the users what they want and give it to them, and who fix bugs as soon as they are identified. Responding to what the customers and fixing bugs quickly are the difference between a design team that is just good, and one that is great. Recently I posted a comment elsewhere suggesting a new feature be added to another, more popular, game I play. An hour later the designer emailed me asking for more input. We emailed back and forth for a day. The feature, which by then was much more than I had asked or hoped for, was in the next version three weeks later. In nearly five years I have never seen that in OOTP. I have seen the opposite a lot, like Curtis and others beating their heads against a wall for years over mass select, though. Years of watching OOTP releases will tell you that it doesn't matter what we want. They are going to give us what they want. Our only choice is to buy or not buy and play or not play. OOTP is a good game. If its design staff paid attention to what its customers want and ask for it could be a great one.

one thing i cant figure out is, why is the Hall of Fame not sortable by Hrs, avg, name, etc. Its not too useful right now. I have to go into the retired players to sort by homeruns and other stuff. Just wish the HOF was like CATO was. Had a picture beside the player and everything

Actually, if you go into "History-Awards-Hall of Fame", it IS sortable.

I'm no OOTP aplologist, but at the same time, the "design staff" consists of like 2 guys. There is a pretty significant difference between a design team at EA and the OOTP one.

One guy, two guys, two hundred guys. It doesn't matter how few or how many, what matters is if they listen to their customers or not.

it is impossible for them to make that game playable in 1 year, and i saw on the official forum ppl begging them to fix things, and they basically just tossed it aside, so theyre even worse then the OOTP team

Why do I keep reading this thread title as "How do I edit mill stones"? And moreover, why do I think "Take a chisel to them" as an answer?
