Hey Jeffy, how is Kaden? Anyway, to import rosters, you first need to download the desired database. I am assuming you mean database, by the way. Once the DB is downloaded and saved, create a new folder in your OOTPDevelopments [OOTP10] folder entitled whatever, and extract the contents of whatever you just downloaded into the new folder. That's what has always worked for me.

Kaden is doing great! Just got spoiled to all hell by his grandparents for Christmas. So basically, we have a lot of new, useless "stuff" around the house haha. But he is a very very very happy lil baby boy ![]() Thanks for the help, I love OOTP, but man, it can be a lil overwhelming sometimes

Is there a specific folder that it must be extracted into? And what about in the game where it says import rosters? I haven't had any luck there either. |

EDIT: I should be more clear, you want to create a brand new folder and then extract the database into it. And no, it doesn't matter what you name, as long as you can identify it. Last edited by Storm; 12-28-2009 at 03:36 AM. |

When you go to create your historical game, you have a select path to database option. Click that drop down box and I believe navigate to data folder and click into your folder that you extracted everything into. After that, you should see a ton of .csv files. Click on the one you want to use. In my case, I use Master.csv since I use Gambo's database. |

can't seem to get that far. This is what I downloaded (the one on the top left) and saved it here. I can't seem to extract it anymore....and I don't know if it matters what year I start the historical dynasty or not. let me share some screenshots. Last edited by Jeffy25; 12-28-2009 at 03:59 AM. |

Ah, I see. You want to download an unzipping program compatible with RAR files and unzip the contents of the RAR file into the very same folder.
EDIT: That's a .lg file. In that case, you want to create a Negro League Baseball Ver 2.0.lg folder in your saved_games folder and then extract the contents of the rar into that folder. Then, you should be able to access it via load game. Geez, my head hurts now. Last edited by Storm; 12-28-2009 at 04:05 AM. |

Alright, download winRAR: WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files. Personally, I use the localized English 64 bit, since I run a 64 bit Vista machine.
Then, make a folder in My Documents/OOTPDevelopments/Out of the Park Baseball 10/saved_games entitled "Negro League Baseball Ver 2.0.lg". By this step winRAR should be downloaded, unless your internet sucks like mine. I then want you to right click on the file you downloaded. You should see an Extract Files... option if you installed winRAR. If so, find the folder we created and extract the contents of the file to it and you should be golden. |

What you downloaded is not a database...it is a league file. To use it, you want to move the .lg folder into the saved_games folder. Then, to play it...you want to go to the main menu and select Load Game. You should have the choice of loading your Negro League file.

I am just having strange issues.
1. I can't get the files extracted and over to the saved games folder. I try to copy them over there and it removes them from the previous folder but they don't appear in the saved games folder....as if i didn't paste it or something. 2. When I try to open a database in the custom game folder I can't just select the .lg file, when i try to it opens the folder and asks me what I want to open...here is a screenshot of what is offered..... |

It is an already created league, you can't use it to create a new one. Don't go to custom league, just choose "Load Game" from the main menu. If you copied the .lg folder into the saved_games folder, than it should be a choice there.
