Aging question
I've set the dev speed of my batters to .100 and talent randomness to 1, but obviously some players are still going to decline early in their career's, which isn't a problem as i can edit them....
However, when I play god and edit their stats within 6 months their stats keep dropping...I've had this with Colavito, Bench, Rose, Stargell and Snider. Who's abilities i want to keep in the game so they're not all washed up before they reach 31. What i want to know, is there anyway, apart from topping them up every 6 months if i can edit their aging speed at all? |

I think you are going about this wrong. The development speed is how fast a player reaches his peak. To me it is more about a player moving through the minors and eventually to the majors. On the same page where you change this setting is "batter aging speed" and "pitcher aging speed". This is what you would change in a fictional league to make players hang on to their skills longer but it appears you are playing a historical league which I don't have much experience with. I would think if you have recalc on it would override the other settings.
Now if you don't use recalc and are asking how to just make players last longer the aging speed should work. |
