Quick Question, Need help with ammy draft

Doing the 05 Nationals, and when I go to the draft preview, non of the players are the real players that were drafted that year...in fact they are all fictional players...why is it doing this now, when I have never had this problem in a historical dynasty before?

and it doesn't have any of the real life minor leaguers from 05...but i sort of assumed that was normal.

I am just wondering if I have a box checked or something that I shouldn't

Is this a game that you started fresh with OOTPX or did you import it from OOTP9?

It could be that there isnt enough data right now to give you an 05 draft class.

Its a good question I have actually never gotten this close to present date when Ive done historical.

It's OOTPX with nothing from 09....no idea why I wouldn't have the 05 draftees available though.

Well it would pick out players that were 18 years in old in 2005 which leaves a pretty limited talent supply since they would only be in the 23 year old range in 2009. Historical drafts are different than what the real draft consisted of.

How many 23 year olds had done much in 2009? Probably not enough to create a draft list Im guessing.

This is only a guess I am not actually sure this is the reason. I am sure someone more familiar with the process will post soon enough.

Thanks, I'm just sort of in a stall until I get it worked out...there were several solid players, and i'm pretty sure if I do a historical sim from earlier, and work toward present day, there is a historical sim for 05

I just went back to 03, and the 03 draft has players like Michael Wuertz, Matt Holliday etc in it...quick simming up to 05 to see

And yup, the 05 draft class is fully there.

so why would it not be there if I start a dynasty in 05? But it is there if I start in 03?

Raji Davis, Johnny Sanchez etc.

no idea what I did, since I changed so many check marked options, but it's fixed now.................

so.....not sure what the solution was, but it's right now.
