How long until a job offer?

Did a search but came up with nothing...

I'm in a baseball universe which has all of the available leagues running. I'm thinking of starting in the Mexican league as a GM (not much for managing, much more enjoyable for me to play as a GM), but am curious as to how long I might be "stuck" there.

My other option is to just put myself on the Nationals as their GM resigned just before the season started. I just feel like it's not realistic/fair to start at the MLB level.

So, how long might I be stuck in Mexico? At least the food is great!

in a 24 team league it took 5 years GMing in a 40 game HS Feeder league to get offers from major league teams.
