However I wonder if such events could be done with custom injuries. Obviosuly CEI's (unless your'e doing a zombie league)

No joke - In my online league, we once had a guy get a CEI from a fall into a ravine. We just said he died.

Buffalo Bisons: Á. Santos was injured while falling down a ravine when hiking. The Diagnosis: fractured elbow. This is a CAREER ENDING injury!

what about the page where the world series winners are shown.Do those guys just keep on aging for ever?What will they look like at 500?

It depends on the finances, but as far as I've seen players can actually sign with the Washington Nationals just like they would any other team.
