Tracking player retirements ..

What's the best way to do this ? I mostly follow my own team, and not the league that closely - but I would like to know when players retire to give them a look and see if they may be HoF worthy.

I've noticed it seems I can see the majority of them by looking at the league transactions on January 1st - but I've also noticed that players retire on different dates as well. Maybe tired of sitting in FA, maybe CEI, idk.

So, is there a better way to follow retirements than looking through the logs ?

There are 2 dates (kind of). January 1st is one, and the other is the day after the season ends. I say kind of because you will have minor leaguers retire the day after their season ends, which is often not the same as your parent league. This can have HOF implications if a player isn't willing to hang it up and continues to play with minor league skills.

I believe looking through the logs is the best way.

After Jan. 1, I go through the "retired players" screen and sort them by stats from "last year" I assume that I am getting all of the people that retired after the previous season...If I am wrong, someone let me know since I have been doing this with the assumption that it works.

Thanks!
