Feeder League Schedule Question

My sim league added a college and high school feeder league before last season. The schedule was automatically set to begin April 1 for both college and high school.

However, the college and high school players were not created until July so when the season started the rosters were blank. When the season was over, the college and HS players still were not created. Fine, I understood that is going to happen the first year which is why I selected "feeder leagues + extra players".

But here is where my quandry is...

Historically when we did not use feeder leagues we started our draft on our forum the day that the amateurs were created, which is 75 days prior to the July 1 draft, in mid-april. If we start our draft in mid-april now, the amateurs will only have 2 weeks worth of stats to go by because the season starts April 1.

Should we have the college and HS seasons start in February, so that by April they are over? Or will this correct itself over time because after a few seasons each eligible player will have stats for freshman, soph, junior and partial senior years.

I'm a solo player by design and I prefer to have my HS league start March 1st with a 40 game schedule and the College league start early to mid February with a 60 game schedule I usually schedule my draft for June 1st and the feeder leagues finish their playoffs in mid to late May. That's just my personal taste.

A solo league is a little different because you're not drafting until July. We draft in April.

But I'm leaning toward doing it the way you described.
