Having a Difficult time setting this league up...

Ok here is what I want to do.

  • Have a Fictional League with 24 Teams, with 5 sets of minor leagues such as AAA,AA,A,SA,R.
  • A College Feeder (154+ Teams) and a High School Feeder (124 Teams) that feeds into the Fictional League....and Possibly MLB
  • A Cape Cod League for the top College Players (Sometime after the College Season) and before the MLB/Fictional Leagues draft.
  • Alongside a current MLB set-up where trading can happen between the Fictional league and MLB. (So two professional leagues will be present in the universe)

Questions:

1. Is it possible to play a college year, play in the Cape Cod League, then get drafted by either the Fictional League or MLB?

2. How should I set up the dates so that this can run smoothly.

3. Do I need to create separate feeder leagues for both the Fictional and MLB setup?

Any help is greatly appreciated! I know what I want to do but I am having a hard time getting to that point!

1. No*
2 You're cape cod league won't work the way you want it so the only question is whether you want the draft during or before the season.
3. Yes

You've got way too many feeder teams. On average you're going to get at least 5 draftees from each feeder team, so that's almost 1500 players or 60+ per team(24).

* It may be possible to do this manually by moving the college players manually into the cape cod league and then moving them back to college, but it would probably be a pain to do.

How much should I cut the feeder teams by to accommodate 24 teams?

How many rounds is your draft? Once you determine that, then just a bit of math to get the right amount of players.

Thats the thing I am not sure about.... what would be good for a 24 team league. Maybe 20 rounds? Not totally sure
