Scouting questions

Maybe this is more of a newbie question and if so, I appologize.

I have scouts turned on but do not use my scout for anything but to confirm some of the OSA ratings. I know X made some changes to scouting to make it less annoying work, but is there something he can do? I have all leagues added from Japan on down to Winter Leagues.

Also, what about the draft? Can I scout players more than what is revealed during the draft pool unveiling?

You do have the option to scout an individual player, but beyond that the effectiveness and role of scouting is largely a function of scout quality, time elapsed (exposure to the players), and budgeting (dollars spent and in what areas).

So if your scout gets an updated view of a player each day, is there any use for sending him out to scout anyone?

What is the purpose of the scout option on the player screen then?
