Pitching Coach/Manager
Nate Berkenstock played in 2 games as a RF, got 0 AB's and made 1 play (successfully) before retiring.
He then became a pitching coach. That was cool, especially for being a RF. Then the next year he became the bench coach... well kind of. He is now actively the pitching coach and bench coach for the same team. It is the same former player, as both coaches link to the same player profile. I guess I'm just happy he is holding two roles on the same team, it would be much harder to make sense of if he coached for different teams! |

I just saw this happen again with another player, this time becoming a GM, an unemployed one at this point.
Saw this as a bug in another thread. This may test the limits of my story telling creativity, but I'm sure I'll come up with something. |
