Reserve rosters?

Thought I'd see what it was like to have reserve rosters instead of minors. So I deleted all the minor league teams in my fictional league. Can't find a reserve roster at all. The manual says it's in the upper right in the transaction page. Not there. Maybe the problem is you need to start fresh with a reserve? It won't work if you delete minors?

Look on your roster page. Then find a pull-down menu in the upper right area of your screen. Change the view from your active roster to your reserve roster by using the pull-down menu.

Ok, just tried that. It's blank.

There will be no players on the reserve roster unless you or an AI manager moves them there. If all the teams in your league had 25-man rosters and you deleted all the other players who had been in the minors, then no one is going to be on reserve. Your league might not have the depth needed to fill out a 25-man roster for each team and then have players left over on reserve.

Do you have secondary rosters enabled? Does anyone appear on the secondary roster that is not on a 25-man roster?

Try reading the online manual section on the options for reserve rosters, 40-man rosters, etc. Generally it's best to set up your league the way you want from the beginning. If you don't want minors or minor leaguers, then set up your league that way when you create it. Otherwise, when you delete certain settings, you may end up with an imbalanced league or other problems where rosters are empty.

I don't have any rosters except active.

I just tried setup to fill rosters with fictional players and that didn't work. So I think I'm going to start my 1950 fictional league over with a reserve and no minors. To me, the minors were like a reserve to fill the majors but I'd like to have that function a lot simpler so will go to the reserve roster. Main problem I had initially is the manual gave the wrong location for the reserve roster and I couldn't find it lol. Thanks for your help on that.
