Player Creation Modifiers

Is there any way to adjust the player creation modifiers for an historical league before importing the database the game uses to create players? As part of a project I'm working on with a friend, we are trying to eliminate the extreme statistical situations of some of the early years of baseball like no HR in the early 1900s, but all the league creations I've tried import the players from the DB before I can fix the creation modifiers, therefor all the pitchers have high movement, the batters have low power, almost all the hitters are fast and steal often, etc.

Are you talking about a league that uses historical players, or a historically-based league that uses fictional players?

The player creation modifiers only affect the creation of fictional players. If you are using fictional players, there is probably a way to create a league structure (perhaps as a template) and then populating it with fictional players after you've adjusted the modifiers. I'm sure others on the boards have done this, so hopefully one of them will post if that's what you are trying to do.

Sorry, here is a little more on what we are trying to do. We are working on a database normalized by era, so that an average home run hitter of 1915 will have the same power as an average home run hitter in 2005, for example. But even when I use that database that we've put together, when I import the original set of guys for 1901, everyone's ratings look like it is 1901. No one has much power, very few of the pitchers are strikeout pitchers, etc. According to the adjusted DB I'm using, Buck Freeman hit 63 HR in 477 ABs in 1901, yet he imports with power of 35/100. My assumption was that the player creation modifiers were what is responsible for this. If that is not the case, does anyone have any idea what is and how I might fix it?
