AL MVP Vote
Just finished the regular season in my '09 MLB start-up league, and I would love to see who everyone thinks should be the AL MVP. Here's the full range of leading candidates by my estimation organized by division. The winner may be a bit obvious to some, but please weigh in. Thanks for voting!
C Joe Mauer, MIN (87-74, 3rd place) - Batting Champion Code:

I don't see how it goes to anyone but Teixeira, though I'd like to see Napoli win it if a catcher put up those kind of numbers in real life. Even with the low AVG/OBP.

You needed a vote for this? Next poll: who has a better chance at throwing 200 innings in 2010: Roy Halladay, Babe Ruth, or my grandmother?
Although, maybe it is an interesting study. After all, (so far) three out of 18 people didn't vote for the clear winner; something to keep in mind next time we see a "crazy" MVP vote IRL. |

Teixeira is obviously the favorite, but I'm a big believer that the MVP is the most valuable player, not necessarily the player who puts up the best numbers. And with that, I also think Alex Gordon deserves strong consideration.
