Ahh, ok. I also forgot to mention that I am talking about ratings being reduced without the reduction being visible to the player to simulate a 'bad day'. So we have no way of knowing whether this happens unless it is confirmed or denied by Markus. Sorry for my incomplete description.

Your description is fine. Based on comments made by Markus in the past and a couple of tours through beta, I am certain that no hidden or otherwise, reduction in ratings occur, outside injuries as described.

I'd rather not reveal these parts of the engine. I only say this:
a) There is no 'comeback code'.
b) There is no mechanism that alters ratings if players are over/underperforming in historical simulations.

Nope, no change for under/overperforming players either, why should there be in those leagues, that would make no sense at all hence I didn't mention it
