Game Strategy

If anyone can help.......

In a couple of MP leagues where coaches aren't used.

My Game Strategies are all set to default.

Is there any portal where I can download and install game strategies? or will it mean I have to set myself in game?

I am guessing I am looking for something akin to I have seen in Front Office Football where there are game-plans such as a West Coast Offence, or Run N'Shoot offence.

Thanks in advance for any help

No, you set them yourself.

If you're playing pre-1947 American baseball, then the All-American Mod (a namefiles/ethnicites/nation/cities file pack) is for you.

The idea of preset, pull-down-selected strategies, both built onto the game and downloadable, is really appealing though.

Yep, I'd vote for this. There are so many sliders to manipulate that I get frustrated.

Could a text file or spreadsheet file be used to allow the player to see all of the settings globally? I don't know if this could be incorporated into the game, something like the injury file.

That's another good idea. Hey! Markus!

I totally agree that the strategy settings in the game are cumbersome and totally frustrating. Personally I would like to see the whole team strategy section done away with, and instead using a revamped manager strategy page with pulldown options for each of the different strategies. Sort of like this.

Whitey Herzog

Base Stealing
1.Very Often
2.Often
3.Average
4.Slightly Below Average
5. Way Below Average

Sacrifice Bunting
1.Very Often
2.Often
3.Average
4. Slightly Below Average
5. Way Below Average

and so on and so forth. This actually accomplishes two things, first it makes setting your team strategies way more intuitive, and secondly it makes it much easier to create pre-set manager types for historical leagues that match the strategy of their real life counterparts.

I love these ideas. It would be so cool to have the ability to craft "real" managers and then try to hire them or to have a snap-shot picture of the fictional manager's playing style.

Really Like

I Really like the idea of Historical Managers---I know the negative arguments, but you could,I suppose have several profiles available.
Not saying all managers, just the relatively famous one's.Hey,that might make an interesting poll
Thanks
Gil
