Thanks a bunch Markus...

...for including a systematic way to have our leagues backed up automatically in case something goes wrong during the save process. I don't know what happened with my league last night, but somehow some files got corrupted. It was late, but I may not have allowed OOTP to finish shutting down. The league file was causing OOTP to have an illegal operation and I thought my league might have been done for. I haven't been as diligent about manually backing up my league as I usually am, as my last significant changes to it occured over a month ago. Luckily, I explored the files and discovered that my .dat files were backed up in an "auto" folder. I moved them to the default folder and voila, the league opens perfectly. I may have lost a simmed game, I'm not really sure, but I thought I had lost two very significant game years.

I'm breathing a huge sigh of relief here.

The adjustments to prevent having your league corrupted were HUGE additions to the game. I'm glad Markus added them.

I had a similar problem (involving an overloaded electrical system - silly me for plugging in the space heater), and a similar resolution. Thanks, Markus and team!
