When does the game delete players who haven't reached the majors?

I have the button checked to delete players who haven't reached the majors. When does the game actually deleted them? Is it Jan. 1st? The offseason?

Better question. I have about 17,500 Joe Unknowns in my player database. I had ghost players enabled, big mistake I guess. Anyway, do I have to retire the players to get them deleted? I'm assuming I do. If so, it could take forever deleting 17,500 playres individually so can anyone think of an easier way?

Turns out they don't get deleted, everyone else does except them. I can delete every other player except these ones. I'm running out of ideas, anyone?

you buy chance start your league from a saved template?? I had the same problem. Never found a solution and with no mass delete I resorted to starting over from scratch.

No template and this is an online league so starting over is not a solution.

Are they old enough to retire?

maybe when they age enough they will go away?

OR
Maybe you can export them, edit their age, or ratings or something that will make them want to retire??

Just throwing out ideas. I trust you will test these things AFTER backing up your main league files.

They are all over the age of 50 so they are old enough. They are uneditable, I can automatically retire them but once they're retired, they don't delete. And of course, it's backed up but thanks for the reminder.
