I get a window with a quote in between innings or batters sometimes during pbp. It flashes for maybe half a second. Is there any way to eliminate them? Thanks.

I don't know if you can delete that whole file, but just clear out the text file and you can at least not see the text quotes anymore.

Thanks for replying. I moved the file out and still get a white window that just flashes. Very annoying. Actually I like the quotes if there's enough time to read them. Is there any way to adjust the timing or simply stop them from popping up?

You just need a slower computer-- you could memorize them all after a while.

Well, I would think there's some way. Don't recall seeing it during pbp before verX. Very annoying. Seems more like a bug than anything else.

Does anyone know what graphic is used for the window? Maybe if I delete that.

It sounds like you have a slower computer or a large league running in the background and the game is simming the world as the game goes on. I've never seen that box before. If it exists, I would imagine you won't be able to get rid of it - it's the same general game simming box that shows up throughout the game.

Keep the hints file where it is. But open it and delete all the text. The box will still appear in game, but it'll be blank. (If there's another method, I haven't heard about it.)

I have a duo dual 2.8 gig, 4 gig ram, nvidia 9500gt 1 gig. Not state of the art by any means but not what I would call overly slow. And nothing running in the background afaik.

It's not the hints that bother me, it's the flashing box over and over during pbp.

I'm going to uninstall, reinstall, and start a new game fresh. Total pain in the behind but hopefully that will solve the problem. If not, I'll report it in the bug forum. The pbp is my favorite part of the game and this flashing white box just about drives me nuts.

It goes by so fast, impossible to tell what it is but I thought it was the quotes. So I went into setup and added all the photos from facegen. This is only the third fictional league I've played and did that in the beginning before but this time left it "as needed."
No more white flashing screen. Problem solved. You just saved me a big hassle and I can't thank you enough.

I think if you set it up so they all update Jan 1st, that would have it automatically do that. It takes a while, but if the white screen is that annoying to you, it's probably worth it!
