Remember when you could get married and have kids?
Remember when you could get married and have kids?
In the game of OOTP that is. I forget what version it was, but it just occurred to me that my OOTP son is now a 4 year old reality, and is almost ready for T-ball!!

I liked it. Added some depth to the game, where you could go draft your kids when they grew up. I wouldn't like it if it really slowed down the game, but it was nice to "date" in the game, dump your gf after a struggling season, etc... Honestly, at most it added 5 minutes extra to play a season, and added a nice personal touch.

I liked it too. Being able to draft your kid was something I never got to do. I only had girls.

I know it was in OOTP 6, not sure if it was in before that. I loved having it in there. I would stick with the same league forever drafting and developing my son.
One time I played ITP with one guy. Once he retired I put him in my OOTP league as a manager/gm. I then played my league for 20 years and drafted my son. I played that league until my son retired then I also retired from being the gm the same day. It was a fun feature that didn't make it past 6.5. Oh well.
