Making All Players Free Agents?
I am currently in the off season of a league i have been running for a bunch of years. It's a fictional League with real MLB team names. In anticipation of 11, I want to re-do my league. New Cities, teams, logo's etc. I am in the process of changing things now. Problem... When I go to the League functions screen the only option unavailable and grey'd out is "Release all players and schedule inagural draft. That is what I want to do. I want to keep all the League career stats all the player stats, everthing. I just want the same players on new teams. Any body have any ideas?

I'm considering doing the same thing, but wondering if the career stats will effectively build into the data and how easily it'll be to distinguish - read that recall - whether the new name is the same team in the same city, etc...
If I do it, I'm planning on treating the histories almost like minor leagues, although it'd be the old league where things were done a little differently in anticipation of building into a new full blown organization. We'll see, but I'm growing to like this idea a lot. I really like to see a league build from its early days into something greater. Trouble is, by the time it is about there, for me, there's work for the next version and then I want THAT!

Just reminding you both to save a copy of your league before you convert to the new version.
Just in case you forget. Nothings worse than losing everything after you put so much effort into your league. |
