Exporting league file for new league creation

Not sure if this is the place to ask this question.

I have a league file that i have been working on for some time and would like to export in a lahman format in order to use as the basis for a new league import.

Is this something that can be easily accomplished in OOTP10?

You may already be aware, but templates (drop-down menu at the bottom of the Global setup screen) allow one to save a "World" as a template from which other leagues can be created.

But that's not really what you were asking for. I have the feature to create a Lahman type database from an OOTP league on my wish list. I think that would be a really cool option and open up many new ways to play the game. As far as I know there is no capability for this at the present time.

So, once you save your world file, you would then have to create a new league and use that world file as the import?

Yeah, if you create the league from a template, I think it is basically a mirror of the league the template was created from. I haven't used the templates enough to know all the ins and outs. I'm also not sure what advantages working with templates might have over simply copying the league files outside of the game. That's what I usually do, just copy league files and adjust as necessary.
