Things you don't see every day
OOTP can still surprise me.
My team, the Accra Dynamo, was playing against our rivals, the Tema New Town Rivermen. The lead had changed several times by the 8th inning. In the bottom of the 8th, my catcher is on third base. The batter hits a ground ball to right field. My catcher goes steaming into home plate. The right fielder guns it home, and the Tema New Town catcher scoops up the ball. My guy slams into him...and jars the ball loose!!! His run ties the game.We go on to win it in the bottom of the 10th on an RBI single by my young center fielder brought up from AAA the month before. And, as they say, the crowd goes wild. In all my years of playing OOTP, I can't remember ever seeing a catcher get separated from the ball at home plate. I'm sure it's happened to some of you, but it's never happened to me.

I can't remember seeing the ball come loose, either.

I just had the Rays throw a wild pitch against my club that bounced and then hit the bat boy, calling it a dead ball. Never seen that before.
