So i had this idea where we post the biggest trades we ever made.

In my Senators dynasty (which i'm not gonna report on)

An 18 year old for a 40 year old? Who was blocking Lewis at third base?

Not really that much of a blockbuster since Ruth is probably close to being done and Lewis is just starting his career. At this stage in their careers I would rather have Lewis. If you are playing with recalc on Ruth will start to fade quickly. Lewis did not play in 1942-1944 when he was in the Army. I don't know if the game will retire him during this time or not but he came back in 1945 and played to 1949, missing 1948. Lewis missed his prime years ages 25-27 because of the war. I don't play historicals so I don't know if the game will retire him early with recalc on.

Let us know how this works out for you with Ruth.

It was mainly to increase interest in the team. Plus i like the concept of being a struggling team doing anything to increase the amount of fans.

In the end, it was a bad deal, but from a business sense it was a great deal.

And i was playing with recalc off, and he declined, but we still got 2 more seasons out of him.

EDIT: also, if you think about it, the Boston Braves did the same thing in a sense.

A Blockbuster includes more then one Person in it from each team like maybe Derek Jeter,D. Marte,Gardner for Sid Fernandez,Jerry Grote,Howard Johnson and Gooden. The Yankees fill SP and a 3B need while the Mets fill CF/SS need.
