Exporting CSV files to edit...few questions

I haven't delved much into editing databases in the past. But, in trying to figure out how to save universes in case of bugs, I started tinkering around. OFG, if you're still around, I think using these import/export features will go a long way toward resolving our concerns about bugs that run thru saved games, until a crash.

I could use a little advice. I went to Functions Page and exported data to CSV files. Specifically, I was editing player contracts. But, the directions seemed a little fuzzy on how to import the new info back into the game.

I first configured (chose which items I wanted in a spread sheet to show up). I chose only the contracts. After that was done though, I sort of got lost on the import.

What button do I hit to re-import that new info? Would I import Rosters, or Stats, or something else? I am exporting "Data", but I don't see an "Import Data" button.

You can't re-import the .csv files.

Ah. Thanks, Harold. The section on how to export .csv files was right below the description on how to edit stats and re-import. I just assumed the .csv's could be re-imported, too. So, people use these "dumps" for what? Just easier viewing?

Yeah, that and some of the utilities can use those files, though I think they use the SQL files more than the .csv files nowadays.
