Auto-control in game engine

So I've never used this feature. I was going to use it for my minor league setup, just to check it out, but it appears to be grayed out. Nothing I do seems to get it to become available. Does anyone know how? I'm sure it's something simple I'm just not thinking of.

Where exactly is this button? I'm thinking you might mean the one on the transactions screen (I prefer the ones on the individual minor leagues' transaction screens), but I don't think it's called auto control.

Sorry... I'm starting a new league. It's in the Strategy & Equivalencies part of the League Setup. I've never really paid a lot of attention to it, but now I can't get the thing to not be grayed out. It works for my major league, but I wouldn't want it for that anyway. Just the minors.

Ahh, now I see. Do you have minors disabled? It appears to only be for the minors. Are your lg totals at all funky? I just tried starting a new standard league and it's not greyed out for me.

I have several levels of minor leagues. The option is available for my major league, which I don't want, but none of my minor leagues. I haven't been able to find anything in the manual, on this board, or anywhere else about it.

What type of lg did you create: fictional, standard or historical?

Ooh, maybe that's the issue.

I created a historical league based on a fictional database that I made. I entered stats from an old Strat-O-Matic league of mine from 1990 in Lahman format to use as the basis of an OOTP league. Perhaps historical leagues can't have this feature.
