Team & Player Strategies ???

Anyone out there that can give advice on setting team & or player strategies ???

I recently started setting my starting pitchers to 100 pitch counts but find it annoying when they pitch 7-8 inning of 2 hit ball and are pulled, but if I dont set a pitch count they end up giving 5 runs in 2 innings...

Is there any way to set a pitcher based on his performance ??? I mean if he is winning 8-0 and has only given up 2 hits, let him stay in.

Am I missing something or there is really no good strategy settings ???

You just have to get over the false impression that setting or not setting pitch counts affects performance.

Pitch counts work for pitchers that the AI abuses. You have to spend some time looking at who the AI over pitches and settle on a pitch count that makes sense. You can also use the "hook" setting to influence when a particular pitcher gets pulled.
