Not sure if I am 100% correct on this since we have 2 pitch pitchers as SP but its less commons since 1 of the patches, but I play 1-10 scale so for my various leagues most SP have 3+ pitches and a STA of at least 5. not sure what else defines a SP.

Im not 100% sure, but I read somewhere that the number is pitches is at least as important as Stamina. Only 2 pitches, and you dont want him as a starter. I've tested a bunch of players, and 2 pitch pitchers get shelled way more often.
On stamina, last night playing OOTP10, the opposing pitcher had a stamina of 3 and he was at 90+ pitches and was "ok". I dont recall all the settings I choose when starting the League, but Im fairly certain I select Normal for pitcher endurance. That seems like a lot of pitchers for a 3 to not be tired! EDIT: Additionaly, there are only 2 pitchers in my 20 team league that throw Knuckleballs... one of them sucks, the other is a 4.5 star guy with 9. He has only 2 pitches, slider (6/10) and knuckleball (10/10). He has been a 20 game winner. I dont know if the Knuckleball is unique or not, but from what ive seen, his results are far different than any other 2 pitch pitcher. Last edited by Gern44; 04-14-2011 at 02:45 PM. |
