How to Start With Expansion Draft?

I'd like to run a historical league as the NY Mets, but I want to conduct the expansion draft, not start after the team has been drafted. Can someone tell me whether that's possible, and if so, how to do it? Thanks!

Yeah. You can do this.

The way I would do it is star the sim the year before the Mets were created. Sim that season. Then, when the offseason starts, I would take over the Mets and draft who I wanted.

You should probably start the league in Commish mode so that you are guaranteed being hired by the Mets. Once you've been hired, you can turn off Commish mode if you don't like playing that way.

I did this last night just to fool around, and I took over the Mets on the first day but the computer had already made offers to a few free agents. Watch for that, so you don't 'mysteriously' wind up with guys you never drafted. I simply withdrew the offers to all of the guys.

I am currently doing that with the 77 Mariners. But, I missed the eintire expansion draft, simmed to far, so watch for that, it happens in mid October right after the World Series is completed.
