Question-
For historical leagues is the setting "Generate random L/R splits" suggested? I seem to remember, in older versions, it was suggested not to use it because left-handed batters were then getting a "double" bonus as it were? Thanks

Lefty hitters sort of get a bonus when you generate splits. Usually the ratio of right handed pitchers to left handed pitchers is something like 70/30. So lefty hitters get a bonus only because they face fewer LHP's.
But if you don't generate splits, there won't be any platoons, and it just feels wrong. Whatever you decide on for the initial import option, i think the import options will revert to the default setting for all subsequent rookie imports which means you'll get splits whether you want them or not |

I'd leave everything at default and use the splits.

I think this is one issue historical simmers don't really agree on. Some use the splits, some don't. This is why I don't use them, and haven't used them for several versions of OOTP. Will
