Historical League Draft question
I noticed in my league that the amateur draft is coming up. i am not sure I want to do this as opposed to allow the rookies to be assigned to their original team. i went to the league setup page and found that i had checked both- i.e. i checked the box for historical rookies being assigned to their actual team and also checked for a rookie draft. I tried to uncheck the draft but it won't uncheck. Is there any way to now have the rookies assigned to their actual team - 30 or so days into the season?

You're correct in understanding how the two buttons work. If you use historical import of rookies and turn amateur draft off, the real rookies go to their real teams. You can manually put these rookies on their real teams when the draft comes up, but it's going to be a lot of work. When the upcoming draft hits, you could go into commissioner mode and draft for every single team. Look at the real life stats for each player and see what team they started with so you'll know exactly which team to put them on to make it historically correct. (This is only for your busted settings in this upcoming draft; everything will work automatically and fine for you once you get to the offseason and change the league settings the way that you want.)

I'm not a historical player in the past, so i'm sorry if this is a dumb question.....how do historical leagues handle new players? In other words, if I start in 1980, will the 1982 amateur draft contain real players or fictional ones?
