Finished sim
I just finished a sim (1901-2005) and am quite happy with the results.
Cardinals far and away the most successful franchise with 23 WS wins and 43 playoff appearances. Yanks and Red Sox ties second with 15 WS wins each, though the Sox went to the playoffs 33 times as opposed to the Yankees' 29 times It does seem to be the steroid league however with both Bonds and McGuire having monster careers. I will look up some players if anybody is interested. I will do so in the morning though. I will also post the leaderboards later when I manage to figure out how to do one of the scrollable lists |

Greenberg had a great start to his career at the Cubs and was an absolute monster from 34-39
He won 5 MVPs and was a All Stars nine times and won 2 GGs He won the MVP from 35-38 and was a monster in 37 hitting 208 hits/45hr/149rbis/.345ave for the triple crown. He help the Cubs to WS wins in 35 and 37. Greenberg won the MVP in 41 again, but his ratings started to decline after that. He joined the Pirates in 45 and bouced all over the place after that. He did not make the HoF. |

Charlie Gehringer had a good career with the Tigers, but not as good as in real life.
Six time all star and 1 GG with a lifetime ave off .299; ops .833, obp .379. He never reached the play-offs |

Babe Ruth's 192 RBIs is the first time ever that I've seen anyone, even in a sim, top the incredible stats that Hack Wilson did in real life with his 191 RBIs.

I used the template on Padresfan's site, the one by RedSox45. I did not change anything except for turning off scouting, coaches and personalities I think. As far as I remember (I can't check at the moment) the save at the beginning was set for very rarely. |
