Actually, all of the major league teams are. I started a historical league with Gambo rosters in 1901, and added a few minor league systems, which are unaffiliated, with financials set on.

I've tried to run a few teams and have found that I have no money to work with. So when I want to make improvements, or trades, I find that I cannot afford contracts of people I'm trying to trade for. It's incredibly frustrating. The interesting thing is that the minor leagues, filled with fictional players don't have the payroll problems that I have in the Major Leagues. I'll try it again with the Lahman database and see if the game is rating the Gambo version of players higher than the Lahman version. At this point, it's interesting...

Wish you luck in finding out your problem with finances. Please keep us posted about your unaffiliated minors. I am very interested to see how those leagues acquire players and interact with the majors. I haven't had time myself to try to work these issues out so any help would be greatly appreciated!

At present, I have them set up with fictional drafts, and no trading with the MLB. I have to double-check the free agents to see if MLB free agents can enter the minor leagues and vice versa. It's currently running an autoplay to 1920 (to see if the financial issue corrects itself), and like a 600-ton train, it doesn't stop on a dime....

The situation occurs with any version of the database. The things I recommend doing is removing the owner limiting budget and taking off revenue sharing. This issue came up in testing and it has been worked on.

I have revenue sharing off (I always turn it off when starting at 1901...no one wanted to share back then), but I'll turn off the owner option and see if it changes things.
