Real history - fictional players

Is there any way to start in, lets say 1901, and sim up til 2006 with real expansion and all that stuff, but only with fictional players. And then carry on on my own from 2007 and forward?

It won't auto expand or move cities post patch. You have to do it manually. I tried following larry's guide three times before I saw others having the same issues.

I haven't heard of that issue.
First, the obvious, you have set those options, right?

Second, is this in tech support?

Just bought the game and want to run a historical league with fictional players, does anyone know if this problem has been fixed with the latest patch? The patch says "Fixed problems with historical fictional leagues", is this what it means?

That shoudld work for OOTP 8. I'm in the middle of doing the same thing with 8.

This is a very helpful link for people using real historical teams with fictional players. I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the real players; Now I do!!
