Historical Podcasts

Maybe I'll have better luck asking this in here....
Does anybody know of a website where there are podcasts
of old time baseball games? I remember downloading some
games from the 1936 world series and some others, but i
cant find the link anymore. anybody?

it's a downloadable mp3 of the original play by play of a baseball game. i have some from the 1936 world series, the 1949 yankees redsox finale (mel allen and curt gowdy), and some others. but i remember a website that had tons of games, which i now can't find.

Are you serious? It's the new "radio" IMO. Do a google search for podcast, and you'll find the info you need .

This would be awesome, but a google search turned up nothing for me. I'll keep digging, though, because I'd love something like this.

A bit of googling turned up these guys

Are they who you're thinking of?

You can also listen to a bunch of old games directly through mlb.com, but you have to purchase a gameday audio subscription first.

That looks to be close. Now if someone would turn it into a podcast, with regular updates, that would be awesome.

This site also has a few games - some of which are the same from the prior site that is listed. The sound quality is not great, but that's what I would expect from recordings in the 50's & 60's.
