Established alternate history league seeks GM
The United League, a 12-team alternate history league using historical players, is seeking a GM to fill its Brooklyn Superbas vacancy. Rare opportunity to take the reigns of a top-flight club.
The UL started in 2003, is entering its 15th season, and has a solid core of long-time, active owners. Good match for an OOTPer looking for an established league with a twist. The Brooklyn Superbas have won five straight titles and have several of the league's top players, including Mickey Mantle. But the club is aging and the dynasty can't go on forever. Or can it? Interested owners should email the commissioner at: united.league@gmail.com. 1964 Season Summary issue: http://www.smithtj.com/unitedleague/1964/ |

I'm the outgoing Superbas GM. I knew I shouldn't have taken the team since I am in so many other leagues, but the UL just looked so good, I could not resist. As it turned out, I was right in both cases: UL was one league too many for me, and it is indeed a great league with a great commish. I did almost nothing to the team in my brief tenure. It can still be very competitive, or there are lots of prime players you can move for youngsters if you feel a rebuild is in order.
I cannot recommend this league highly enough. I regret not being able to stay, but my loss is some lucky OOTP'ers gain!
