Automatically adjust League Modifer question.

My fictional league is starting in 1960 however I set up the league to mimic league totals to the late 1920's. (imported 1927 settings)

I do have the automatic adjust league totals modifier box checked but when I get around to next season, 1961 is it going to adjust for the year 1961 or will adjust to 1928?

If the year in the league is 1961, then the modifiers will calculate to produce 1961 MLB ratios. These ratios are found in the era_stats.txt file.

If you wanted to do something experimental such as play the 1990's but end up with Deadball Era statistics, you'd have to edit the era_stats.txt file. To do this, first make a backup of the original file. Then edit in the resulting ratios you want, I suggest putting in 100000 for AB's since it makes doing the ratios for things like BA easier. So if you wanted your league to hit .243, just put in 100000 AB, and 24300 Hits. This way when it gets to that year in your simulation the Modifiers will see these ratios in the file and calculate accordingly to produce those results.

So if I wanted to produce the exact same league ratios each season I'd just make the stat line that I want and then copy it to each subsequent yearly entry in the era_stats.txt file.

Agree with the last post completely. If you wanted to have the first year mimic 1927, but have an actual year of 1960 and to have each year adjust by one year simply take a copy of the era_stats file and simply change 1927 to 1960 and each year after that time. Delete the earlier years if you are not using them. 5 minutes tops and you have your new time line.
