2007 in 50's format..can it be done?

I want to use 2007 rosters but reduce league to 16 teams as per 1950's.
I also want inter-league play, planning 2 x 4 team divisions in each league playing 18, 12 7 and 6 games depending on division rivals (154 games)
I have created my own schedule but would like to know if it it possible to save and re-import at the start of each subsequent season rather than re-inputting each season. To be even more fussy want to ensure that Fri-Sun games are not against different teams as per randomized OOTP schedules.
Also, I wish to retain 5 or 6 players from each of the discarded teams. When discarding teams is there a way to delete the unwanted players in one fell swoop.
All help gratefully received!

This is how I did some of this in previous versions of OOTP.

Edit the teams file in the Lahman db and remove the teams you wish to kill for 2007. Then start a histerical league using that copy of the Lahman beginning in 2007. It will put the players from the dead teams in as free agents. Sign whatever players you wish from there and then choose the delete all free agents button to delete all the leftovers.

If you have a series of schedules you want to cycle through over a period of years, you need only name the files in a certain way and the game will automatically use them in order.

If there are multiple schedules files for same league in your schedules folder differentiated only by the comment at the end of the file name (e.g. whatever comes after the _C_), the first in alphabetical order would be used at league creation then the game would move through the list as years progressed. If there were 3 such files named like below for a league created in 2008, the game would load them automatically for the league like this:

2008 - ILN_BGY_G162_SL1_D1_T4_D2_T4_SL2_D1_T4_D2_T4_C_A
2009 - ILN_BGY_G162_SL1_D1_T4_D2_T4_SL2_D1_T4_D2_T4_C_B
2010 - ILN_BGY_G162_SL1_D1_T4_D2_T4_SL2_D1_T4_D2_T4_C_C
2011 - ILN_BGY_G162_SL1_D1_T4_D2_T4_SL2_D1_T4_D2_T4_C_A
2012 - ILN_BGY_G162_SL1_D1_T4_D2_T4_SL2_D1_T4_D2_T4_C_B
2013 - ILN_BGY_G162_SL1_D1_T4_D2_T4_SL2_D1_T4_D2_T4_C_C

Using this feature will allow you to link a larger group of schedules together so that they are used in consecutive years.
