Question
When replaying history leagues if I have the 3 year recalulation checked does this mean that the players will retire at the same time or earlier they did in real life.
The reason I ask is I want to play starting with Kirby Puckets rookie year and would like him to be able to play longer than he actually had to retire. I will leave this unclicked if it forces retirement around the same time the player actually retired. Any advice and what settings to you use not specifically for recreating history but playing out your own history hoping the stats are close to reality with a few differences. Thanks in advance.. |

No, once the player's career ends IRL, the game simply lets its own fictional system take over. After the player's last season in the database, he will develop as a fictional player would.
This means that players who went out in their prime - eg Koufax or Puckett - will often go on to have longer, more successful careers.

It's also possible their career will be much shorter that real life. A CEI would see to that.
