Inaugural Draft Using Real Stats

I had an old version of OOTP and just upgraded to OOTP 8. What I like to do is re-draft past years and then play the seasons out. What I am having trouble with is that I can't figure out how to view each player's actual stats for the year in question. Example: I am aiming to release all players from the year 2000 and draft them from scratch. I'd like to see their numbers from 2000 and draft accordingly. In past versions of OOTP this was quite easy... I believe a pull down option would be to sort by 2000 actual numbers. In this version I can pull up last year's numbers (1999's numbers) but not the numbers that occured in 2000. Does anyone know how to do that? Also, in past years I could see a paragraph scouting report on players but I haven't been able to find that now. Any help would be appreciated!
