Draft and retire according to history
When "Retire players according to history" is on, why does the computer still draft players with shorter careers first?
Example: 1871 inaugural draft, instead of picking Cap Anson who plays for over 20 years, compter teams pick guys who are good for 3 or 4 years and retire after say 10 years. Also, will players sometimes retire earlier than according to history due to injuries with this option on? Are there career ending injuries? |

I can't speak for the injuries since I don't play with those option, but I imagine that the AI can't tell the difference between a guy with a 20 year career and a guy with a 4 year career if they are similar coming into the amateur draft. It'll just take the best available prospect.
