Fielding and position ratings

If a RF has good OF fielding ratings, but has low or no position ratings at LF, how bad would he field in LF?

What I have found is that he can become somewhat above average by the end of the season. It is all about the experience at this point.

One word of caution however. If you have recalc turned on, his LF experience/rating will go away when the recalc is done and you will have to start all over again the next year.
