Historical Reply 1901 -

I started a historical replay starting in 1901 where I only sim. I manage the A's. I turned off injuries for the first 5 years until there were enough players in the league. I just won the championship for the first time in 1905.

January 1, 1906, I decide to turn on injuries and BAM! I lose a star pitcher to a CEI...during the OFFSEASON!

That's a freak accident allright; sorry to see that. FWIW i tend to play with injuries set to very low as to not upset my Historical recreation.

I think I had it set on low. It's on very low now.

Tore his back skipping stones. That's great. I heard that his first injury was a ruptured tricep tendon playing "she loves me...she loves me not" with a daisy.

Well, I'm still mad because I finished in 2nd, 3 GB in 1906 going with a 4th starter who was inconsistent and not able to put together a string of wins like my other pitchers.

Nice. Big Ed is currently my closer in my league...I'm the Chicago Cubs in 1907. Actually leads the league in saves since I tend to use my closer more than other teams.
