AI evaluation AND Adjust Hitters/Pitcher

In playing historical dynasties with recalc ON how do you guys set these figures up

AI evaluation Ratings weight on 30, Curent year stats 50%, last year stats 15% and 2 years ago stats 5%

Adjusting players strength based on AB and pitches and such.

I am thinking on mixing these so that Cup-of-coffee players stays just that. Playing around from 1987 many of these 1 year wonders and even players with very few games in the majors blocks out long time very good players (especially among pitchers)
This seams like it also is the problem that many pitchers retire looong before they did in real-life. Getting into the Act as and signing some of these pitchers (after unretire them) shows that they perform with strength with their new teams.

Will this mixing with new values correct/adjust the problem.

All that messed with these values please give me some feedbacks

My testing is that the current default values for adjust/weaken are about the best you'll get. You could make a case that you want to lower them a bit to say 12/5 (which would adjust starters down to near average if they logged less that 48IP) and would seriously weaken (as in stuff = 1/100) starters if they logged less that 40IP.

It's a dangerous area, and you should experiment there.

As to AI Evaluation percentages, I go 35-35-20-10.

Over and out...

Should I go that high on Rating. I was thinking on stats being the most important since then you could see a player that pitched 200+ innings being more used than a short time starter (which could have gotten a too big rating thanks to the adjust/weaken stuff)

I am thinking also how much the Double weight on year goes into this. Haven´ty used it, but surely now I am stirring up too many buttons and might perhaps only get brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Along this same line, what do the terms "weaken" and "adjust" really mean?
