Severe Power Outage

No crashes as of yet, I started in 1902 with modern modifiers (league leader would have 25-30 HR, but in the past few test sims I have run where it has not crashed, the power totals have gone down drastically, since 1907 the league leader hits 2 Homeruns, I don't know what it is.

I go into my league setup and everything looks good, so its not the modifiers.

Has anyone ever had this? what can I do about it.

Got a screenshot, maybe. Just to double check things.

Tried starting 1910, still happens, around 1916 there are no homeruns.

Would anyone be interested in taking a look if I upload the template?

Included in the file is the template and the modified erastats folder. If you could please sim till around 1920-25 that would be great

Thank you!

Well, for one, in the screenshot of your League Total Modifiers, I notice that you have a ridiculously large number for homeruns. Now I'm not sure, but, that number may be causing the game to go haywire. Try changing that number to 2 or 3 instead of 400 Trillion

The higher the number in the League Totals you have, the fewer HRs will be hit. The lower the number, the more HRs.

I have no idea what a modifier that large is going to do to your game.

hmm, the modifiers seem to be changing every year, it started at 18.15 and now 1 year later it's 60.348.

Anyway for the modifiers to stay the same, when I set it for the modifiers to stay the same, it seems to go wacky

Well if you're playing with the game importing historical modifiers and what not every year, then the modifiers will fluctuate from year to year. In 1910, there aren't a whole lot of homers that were hit league wide. And I did notice that it will be 15 one year and 60 the next, but I just left it alone for it to keep something close to historical accuracy to that of the MLB. I play in a fictional league....I'm just not understanding why you have Recalc on and Babe Ruth only has 7 career homers over the span of about 10 seasons...were these possibly his pitching years?? I have no clue.

Import in 1901. Set historical modifiers and recalc and all that to change with historical accuracy. Sim the game through 1930 without controlling any teams. What do you get?

You got no homeruns with you making absolutely no changes to any of the league totals or modifiers? Everything was the default setting? You're using the default database?

Can you re-import in 1901 and take a screenshot big enough for me to actually read so I can see the league totals and modifiers and whatnot?

I did make changes to the league totals, I am using Spritze's modified ERA Stats, but as for modifiers, I select it to automatically suggest or else I get even more skewed stats. I am using the default DB

The home-run modifier is causing your problem. We had the same challenges during beta.

There is supposed to be a cap on how large a modifier can grow but it isn't working for you for some reason. Generically speaking no modifiers should get over 20 or so. Beyond that number things can quickly go awry. As you have seen.

Sorry for being blunt but is there a "solution" is it my game, my computer or a programming bug?

Thank you for clearing this up

It is absolutely not your computer.

It could be either of the other possibles you posit.

Sometimes squashed bugs can sneak back in.

OR

That particular league could just be corrupted in some way.

Since you are the only user to report this challenge it most likely is just a corrupted league/game. Try a fresh league and report back if it happens again because if it does then we have a reserrected squished bug.

Thanks

You don't know how many games I have done, it has to be a bug. I have tried at least 10 games and I get the same results, stats look good for 4-6 years, then no homers
