Historical_database.odb vs Master.csv

Oh yeah, there is a difference here.

Not in the numbers, but in how it affects the player's initial setup for usage. You see, one file will set a pitcher as a SP, and another as a RP. Why is this important? It is from the standpoint of the adjust/weaken parameters, as well as how the player is initially used (until the AI decides to alter his usage). But the usage is one thing - the importation weakening is quite another.

As well, each file will assign different hitter 'types' to a player. I watched Mantle get made a 'Normal' hitter by one file, and then a 'Pull' hitter by the other.

So I'd like to know what is going on here. The potential numbers don't seem to be different (I didn't check current year ratings), so I am guessing that isn't 'off'. But this RP/SP thing stinks.

Interesting. So what is the reason for having these two different DB's in the first place? Have been really curious about that. Does anyone know? Is it for easier usability in the sim or what?

What should be the basic formula to make a hitter a Pull-hitter then ?

This is an issue I have touched before. I like to see as many Pullhitters over the years actually be pull-hitters. But many has not been this.

Stats could be tweaked to get pullhitters that have low average high HR, perhaps, BUT not surely.

Barry Bonds have in many cases not been a pull hitter.
This pullhitter stuff is like the pitches used by pitchers. Lahmann have not got the key, so no-way you can get it right. I hope it was tru, since I donīt like Wakefield or Hough blow you away with a 95+ fastball
