Historical Team/Franchise IDs needed

I've begun a historical league based on the premise that the San Francisco Giants' move to Toronto was a reality. Have just played the 1976 season. The Toronto Giants gave the Reds a run for their money -- they were 3.5 games back in the NL West on September 1, but swooned and ended up 12 games back in 2nd place.

(Giants stayed in the West because neither the Cubs nor Cardinals would agree to a move. With Atlanta and Cinci in the West, Toronto still gets 123 games in the Eastern time zone, and the potential of a Toronto-Montreal LCS got the better of the brass at Labatt Breweries.)

Now, I'm preparing expansion for 1977. Two new teams in the American League: after some arm-twisting (and a challenge issued by President Ford in the 1976 State of the Union address), Washington enters the AL East. And Seattle enters the AL West, because in this universe there's still that nasty business with the Pilots to clean up.

Questions are these: 1. What are the Historical Team and Franchise IDs for Seattle Mariners?

2. Although I have moved the Giants to Toronto, their Historical Team and Franchise IDs still indicate San Francisco. So OOTP changed their ballpark from Exhibition Stadium back to Candlestick. Any way around that? If I delete the IDs, don't I lose the Giants' lengthy history?

3. Will the game operate properly if there's a team (Washington) without historical team and franchise IDs?

Both ID's are SEA

You can edit the era_ballparks.txt file so that
Exhibition Stadium replaces Candlestick park.

3. Will the game operate properly if there's a team (Washington) without historical team and franchise IDs?

It will not find a ballpark, unless you edit the era_ballparks.txt
file to put one in. It will not assign rookies to the team if you are
assigning rookies rather than the draft.

Thanks, that's exactly what I needed. Looks as though I could edit era_ballparks.txt to create unique team and franchise IDs for my "alternate" Washington team -- correct?

The era_ballparks.txt file only is used for assigning stadiums to teams based on their ID.

If you want to create unique ID's you will need to edit the teams.csv file.
