Heads up on 62 expansion bug
I've played a couple historical leagues starting in 1960 (first as the Cubs, then the Cardinals), set to auto-expand.
In 1962 in both cases, I had a double-header on Opening Day, which I thought was pretty weird. In both cases, the first game was the first game of the regular season on the road. The second game was a home game against the same team that on further inspection turned out to be the last game of the preseason. I logged it as an error, but don't really expect them to fix a schedule bug that only shows up in one league for one season and it was eventually moved to the closed file. I thought I'd post here so anyone else doing the same era could watch out for it ... kind of nasty burning up a pitching staff for a preseason game on Opening Day. |

Why not just edit your schedule and delete the game?

That would mean opening the manual ...
![]() Which would in turn mean finding where I downloaded the manual on my hard drive ... ![]() Which would mean figuring out if it was on my main hard drive or the backup ... ![]() I did a roster flip instead (the second time, when I was expecting it), calling up a couple of spare arms from the 40-man roster for one game, then shipping them back to AAA. It's not a big deal if you're prepared for it, set your own starting pitchers and don't let autoplay burn up your bullpen on O.Day ... which is why I'm posting this little warning to other users to be aware of the issue. |

Editing the schedule is easier, quicker, and doesn't require opening the manual.

the bug exists in other yrs as well, but is easily solved. Enter the game setup under game tab, and click on league setup where u'll find edit league schedule. Once you click that, just delete conflicting preseason games.
