Historical Stats Yearly Averages

Can anyone get me the historical average for each stat category used by OOTP to replay a season. I would like the ave to include all years 1871 thru 2008, ie average HRs hit per year, ave SO per year, ect, ect. For catagories that were not kept every year, like CS, I just need the ave for the years that the stat was kept by both leagues. What I am trying to do is replay a history where the league stat averages stay pretty much the same through out the replay. Once I get the averages I believe I know how to modify the era_stats and era_fielding files to get this done. If wants to just do the era_stats and era_fielding once they get this done that would be even better :-)

Thanx for the info Bruce, but while baseball-reference.com does have the overall totals for most of the catagories, it does not include the number of years that some of the stats were not kept and does not include WP, Balks, PB, SB attempts (or SB success. Only actually need one of these as is does have SB total). If someone can give me these totals or what I should use in these catagories in OOTP, I can figure out the rest of them. Again thanx Bruce for pointing these out. Baseball-reference does have totals with and without the National Association, which is very cool too.
